A win at Wigan yesterday sets us up nicely to make it three on the bounce as we being the domestic cup campaign at West Brom on Wednesday.
We have a view of the Wigan game tonight and the usual requests.
Next Game: West Bromwich Albion, away, 8pm, Wednesday 22 September 2010 (Carling Cup)MATCH VIEW: WAFC 0 MCFC 2
This was a game that Captain Cool had a big hand in winning. For the first goal he coolly chipped over the head of the ‘keeper rushing out of his goal. Then in the second half Captain Cool (Tevez) crossed the ball over to Yaya who coolly side-footed the ball into the back of the net.
The game was played in really wet conditions, making the pitch very slippery. The supporters of City (who braved the rain) gave Captain Cool a big ovation when he came off in the 88th minute to be subbed by SWeeP.
City are now fourth in the table with a very big game on Saturday versus Chelsea. We might be without Mario but still have a squad who can win this game, and with Roberto’s game plan. I liked Blackpool supporters whilst playing at Chelsea and losing 4-0, still singing “Arsenal are better than you”. Of course they meant City!
Before the game versus Chelsea, City travel to West Brom. Nothing has been said about which City players will play (as of yet), whilst others are rested before the game on Saturday, also acknowledging that West Brom at home will be a tough game for whoever plays.
I have heard the Chelsea manager Ancelotti admit that he will put out his reserve team against Newcastle in the League Cup, saving his top players for the City game and he adds “this will be a testing game versus City”.
Come on City!
