Next Game: Notts County, away, 2pm Sunday 30 January 2011 (FA Cup)

OPINION: NEIL YOUNG

I got a letter from Neil in the week, which he wishes me to pass on to all and sundry. I’m giving you the letter exactly how it is worded, punctuated etc. by Nelly.

Hello everyone, Neil Young here.

Having received so many fabulous cards and letters over the last few weeks, with lovely messages of support and good will.

I wanted to say a big thank-you to all for such kindness.

Reading the cards and letters has given me a great boost of morale, just when I needed it the most, and I appreciated all of them very much.

I am sure I will be reading them again in the weeks ahead.

Playing for Manchester City was a very proud period for me, that gave me some of the best days of my life.

Although they are only memories now, they are still great memories to me, and I know from all the support and well wishes received, they are great memories to so many people around the world too.

Neil Young

Thank-you again to all and good bye for now.

The Neil Young Appeal will be kept alive probably until the end of the football season. People wishing to donate to the Appeal can do so by visiting http://www.mcfcsc.com/ There is a Paypal button there. Cheques can also be posted to Alex at his home address. All cheques should be made payable to Manchester City FC Supporters’ Club.

All money raised through the Neil Young Appeal will be split 50/50 between Neil Young and the Cecilia Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital where Neil in his own words is receiving excellent treatment. Every single penny raised is going directly to the Appeal.

REQUEST: CITY FOOTAGE

Hello from Austin, Texas. I collect videos of old soccer matches. I just found a rare video from 1968 of Manchester City. It’s a game against the Atlanta Chiefs at Atlanta’s Fulton County Stadium. I’ve posted a clip of the game on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_NzrdzbNxw

As you can see, it is in black and white, but considering how old it is, we are lucky just to have it. If anybody on your blog wants a DVD of it, just contact me on my web site: http://www.DaveBrett.com/
