Saturday night was illuminated by the BBC2, who showed Colin Shindler’s ‘Mancheser United Ruined My Life’ – a ‘drama/documentary’ of his City-blighted life. It was in turn extremely funny, informative, insightful and tragic, a really excellent 40 minutes viewing. I must say that that execrable Rag Tony Wilson did a brilliant job in reaffirming my faith in City; his nauseating smugness and petty spitefulness neatly embodied all that I have come to despise about that club and many of its supporters.

Not much news, other than Tranmere expressing an interest in Brannan (at half the price we paid) and Symons allegedly wanting a move away! Plenty of opinion on relegation and Man United Ruined My Life, as well as an offer to collate our ‘best eleven’ for next season. This is my last Why Blue, more needed, but please send them to John Warrington over the next 2 weeks.

Thanks go to all those individuals who’ve mailed us over the last couple of weeks expressing their thanks for MCIVTA – I’ve passed on all your messages to those who do the work, much of it unsung, namely, Steve Bolton, Paul Howarth and Jeremy Poynton – good to know it all matters!

Don’t forget to send contributions for the next 3 issues to John Warrington (see below).

MCIVTA – GUEST EDITORS

Please note that there will be a guest editor for MCIVTA for the next 3 issues. John Warrington has kindly agreed to step in, in my absence.

Contributions for MCIVTA 398 (Thursday 14th), 399 (Monday 18th) and 400 (Thursday 21st) should be sent to John at: john.warrington@masons.com

Jeremy Poynton will then take over for 2 issues: 401 (Monday 25th) and 402 (Thursday 28th), then it’s back to me. Details of how to send contributions to Jeremy will appear in the last issue sent by John.
