Very brief edition tonight given the game versus Wigan and the fight for fourth spot, which is hotting up after Liverpool’s win at the weekend.
Ernie’s back, we have a bit of local knowledge for the new stadium in East Manchester and a request for North Yorks Blues.
Next Game: Burnley, away, 5.30pm Saturday 3 April 2010OPINION: CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT
The media is full of Toure backs Mancini; is he afraid that another manager will not play him? Just like Mancini, centre back Toure is inconsistent.
I feel that the only way that City will be in the top four is by winning all the remaining games, and most of all beating Spurs.
Beating United is always important, but I put being in the top four the most important so that City can compete in Europe next season, and attract some talent. Of course beating United will help City being in the top four and perhaps scuttling United’s bid for the league title; that would be a nice kind of a double.
I still say give Mancini his chance until the end of the season, despite the fact that both Garry Cook and Roberto Mancini look at times as our clowns.
I wish everyone at MCFC good fortune, for I have never been one to like seeing anyone lose their jobs.
Come on you Blues!
P.S. Sorry I have been missing in action of late, due to being in hospital (on injured list).
Ernie Barrow <Britcityblue(at)aol.com>OPINION: REBEL YELL
The back page of the MEN (Thursday 25th March) featured half a page on the proposed new stadium for FC United of Manchester.
The site named is in Newton Heath on Ten Acres Lane, which is only a couple of sliced Roque Santa Cruz shots away from Eastlands.
I’m sure fans of FCUM will be keen to see which is the nearest boozer to the proposed site and it is situated on nearby Grimshaw Lane, painted sky blue and white on the outside, bedecked in City gear on the inside and is called “The Kippax”.
Phill Gatenby <Safestanding(at)aol.com>REQUEST: CATTERICK AND RICHMOND BLUES
I’m trying to get a supporters’ group together for the Catterick and Richmond area.
I am already in contact with a couple of people in the area and aware that there are many others who are either in the area due to their service in the armed forces or have relocated to the area for other reasons.
I remember a previous poster on here called Gary Johnston and am not sure if he is still in Catterick. I’ve also spotted some other cars with City badges on display so know I’m not alone up here.
