Brief issue playing catch-up; as the season approaches we have a look at yet another strip for City, tickets and viewing requests.
Next Game: Tottenham Hotspur, away, 12.45pm, Saturday 14 August 2010OPINION: GET SHIRTY
According to BBC Manchester, City will be having a fourth shirt this season, just for one game.
None of the three shirts can be worn against West Brom so a fourth one will have to be produced. Just makes you wonder who is sat around a desk thinking of the new second strip we have just had produced. Can’t be that difficult to think of a colour that is (A) keeping in with tradition and (B) both 2nd and 3rd strips between them cover all bases. Here’s a hint to the club: Maroon, red and black stripes, even the b****y purple kit from a few years ago!
For the record, City have released a brand new away strip (that’s just the 2nd strip, not counting the countless 3rd strips too!) every year since 1996. What happened to the ‘two year cycle’ on all shirts?
And for the record, I haven’t purchased one of them!
Phill Gatenby <Safestanding(at)aol.com>REQUEST: SPURS TICKET AVAILABLE
I have a spare ticket in the City end for the Spurs game. Would be able to meet up before the game. Face value £49.00. Contact Chris on 07789 435999.
Chris Pilkington <chris(at)leeming-pilkington.co.uk>REQUEST: BLUES VIEWING IN QUITO
I’m going to be in Quito until mid-January 2011. Does anyone know of any pubs or bars there that regularly show City/PL games?
