Came to City from Shrewsbury at a time when injuries ruled at Maine Road. His ability to score goals soon made him a crowd favourite, but after the arrival of Walsh and Rösler, he found himself playing the reserves. At the start of the 95-96 season he left City for Portsmouth, in a deal which involved him and Fitzroy Symons in a swap with Kit Symons.
